We’ve got another rumor to add to the pool of next generation Kindle and Kindle Fire rumors. This one relates to when they’ll be released.

CNET posted yesterday that the Kindle Fire 2 will be revealed at a “launch event” on July 31. That jives with other rumors we’ve heard in the past about a late summer or beginning of the third quarter launch date. The article says:

Our source didn’t mention the higher resolution display but did say that the new tablet would have a camera and physical volume-control buttons (many users complained that the Kindle Fire only has on-screen volume controls).

Excellent. I have a Kindle Fire and don’t mind the volume button thing so much as the camera thing. Bluetooth would be nice, too, and would make peripherals like an external keyboard possible.

If CNET is right, we’ll know for sure in a little over a month.
