feature-smarterAccording to a Press Release made by Amazon on Businesswire, millions of Alexa devices were purchased during Thanksgiving weekend (Black Friday to Cyber Monday).  The Echo, Dot, Fire TV Stick with Alexa Remote and Fire tablet weren’t only the best-selling Amazon devices, but the best-selling products from any manufacturer in ANY category across all of Amazon.

Alexa is very in demand and making it to the top!  That’s probably the reason why we’ve been hearing about Amazon’s plans of adding a new member to the Alexa family, anytime next year.

Bloomberg reports that Amazon.com Inc. is developing a new Alexa-powered device, but unlike the previous models, it will be built with a 7-inch touchscreen that can be tilted upwards so that screen can be seen while it sits on a counter and the user is standing.  Hmm, that sounds like a brilliant idea.  That will make certain tasks easier such as setting your calendar appointments, checking your bank account, reading the news or following a recipe.

Alexa currently has over 3,000 skills and the list keeps on getting longer and longer… all the more reason to get your hands on these Alexa-enabled Amazon devices.

The company hasn’t made an official announcement yet but is expected to announce this big news as early as the first quarter of 2017.
