Amazon Debuts a Service That Lets You Shop with Cash

Send to Kindle

If you are one of the many consumers who refuse to shop online due to fear of having your bank accounts hacked, then you’ll love Amazon’s newest service Amazon Cash, a way to use cash to purchase goods from the site.

How?

First, you have to get a barcode that will be linked to your account.  You can do this through the site (HERE) or the Amazon Mobile App.

Once you receive the barcode through text message or print-at-home, visit one of the participating brick-and-mortar stores and add funds to your Amazon Balance through the cashier.

There are no fees required to make a transaction.  Just hand the cashier any amount between $15 and $500 then wait for the receipt and a confirmation to your email or phone number.

When your balance is already loaded with a certain amount, you can use the funds immediately to shop for millions of eligible physical products and digital content.

Thousands of stores like CVS Pharmacy, Speedway, Kum & Go, D&W Fresh Market, Sheetz, Family Fare Supermarkets and VG’s Grocery have partnered with Amazon and there will be more coming soon.

Do you want to earn an additional $10 digital credit on your first Amazon Cash transaction?

For a limited time, add $50 or more to your Amazon Balance and receive a $10 digital credit towards select digital categories.

The offer ends on May 31st while the digital credit can be used until June 30th only!
