Nowadays, the influence of social media plays a big role in establishing credibility in a specific industry and building relationships with consumers. That’s why companies and even small businesses use influencers to advertise their products and services.
These “social media influencers” use their blogs or social networks such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. to promote products in exchange for a certain fee.
Now, Amazon is also turning to social media in order to promote its products, with its recently launched “Influencer Program.”
“The Amazon Influencer Program is exclusively designed for social media influencers with large followings and a high frequency of posts with shoppable content. An intuitive vanity URL makes it easy for customers to find, browse and buy the products introduced to them through social media influencers. The program allows influencers to earn fees for purchases they drive through their social media platforms.”
The program is still in beta mode and is open by invitation only but social media influencers can start submitting their application on the site for evaluation.
