College students don’t have to pay the full price for a 1-year Prime Student Membership anymore. Today, Amazon announced the new monthly payment option available for a Prime subscription to all college students enrolled in any four or two year colleges.
Originally, members need to pay $49 for a 1-year Prime Student subscription – although it’s already half the price of the $99/year Prime Membership, a monthly payment scheme is still more favorable for students because there’s no annual commitment required. Students just need to pay $5.49/month for the months they wish to enjoy the Prime benefits.
“Our new monthly payment option lets students enjoy the best of Amazon in a more flexible and simple way. Whether it’s getting their favorite products with free shipping or streaming thousands of popular movies and shows, Prime student members can experience all the benefits of Prime,” said Ellen Kinney, Director of Prime Student, Amazon.
Your Prime Student Membership will give you unlimited streaming of thousands of movies and TV shows, listen to hundreds of playlists through Prime Music, access to Twitch Prime and Kindle First, unlimited storage on Prime Photos, Student-exclusive deals and discounts and of course, a FREE Two-Day shipping.
You can still sign up for a FREE 6-MONTH TRIAL and cancel your membership anytime, for free.
In order to qualify for Prime Student Membership, all you have to do is provide a proof upon request and a valid e-mail address that contains the domain suffix “.edu.”
