After two years of Amazon operating in Mexico, the e-commerce giant finally announced the launch of the Prime Subscription.  Starting Tuesday, online shoppers can sign up for a Prime Membership and enjoy a number of perks such as unlimited free shipping and exclusive access to Amazon originals plus hundreds of popular movies and TV shows through Prime Video.

Mexico is the 13th country where Amazon will be offering its members-only subscription but the first in Latin America.  As of today, Prime is available in the US, Canada, Italy, China, India, Spain, UK, Belgium, France, Austria, Japan, Germany and of course, Mexico.

The online retailer is currently offering Prime at a lower price for only 449 pesos (around $23) for the first year before it doubles up to 899 pesos ($46) the year after.  Go to this page to start your 30-day free trial or upgrade your subscription.
