Introducing Echo Look, Your Personal Photographer and Stylist

There’s no denying that Alexa has been a part of numerous households in the US.  As of January this year, there are already more than 8 million customers who own an Amazon Echo device.  If you’re one of those who are not yet enamored with Alexa, then the latest addition to the family might just convince you to get one… or probably not?

Today’s “Selfie Generation” will enjoy the Echo Look.  The device will provide all the features of the original Echo, with additional nifty features such as hands-free camera and Style Check, a new service that gives users expert fashion advice.

If you love taking selfies and photos of your outfits for your social media accounts, you don’t have to worry about dealing with timers, tripods or asking someone to take your pictures for you because the Echo Look can take full-length photos and short videos with just your voice.  Just say, “Alexa, take a picture” or “Alexa, take a video.”  You can even see yourself through the Echo Look app from every angle – talk about a 360-degree view of your outfit.

Now, if you need an expert fashion advice, the Echo Look is equipped with a Style Check service that uses advanced machine learning algorithms to give you advice from a team of experienced fashion specialists.

However, as cool as it sounds, its built-in camera and audio capabilities have raised a number of privacy concerns.  But Amazon says that the Echo Look will just take photos and record videos and audio when it’s enabled by a wake word (“Alexa…”) and users can turn the camera and microphone on and off for security and peace of mind.

As of today, the Echo Look ($199) is available exclusively by invitation.  Request your invitation here.
