Together with the official launch of the controversial Amazon Key, was the introduction of the Cloud Cam, Amazon’s first ever security camera that works with Alexa. Although it was advertised to work with the Amazon Key to allow “in home” deliveries, which earned a lot of criticisms, the Cloud Cam is useful on its own or paired with your Echo Show or Echo Spot.
For a limited time, you can get $50 off if you purchase the Cloud Cam and Echo Show.
Together, these two gadgets will help you monitor your home, family and pets in crisp 1080p Full HD, and catch every activity as it happens.
From your Echo Show, you can simply ask Alexa to show a live feed from any room in the house – “Alexa, show me the kids room.” You can also listen in on the Echo Show as well as speak to members of your household from across the room since the Cloud Cam is equipped with a two-way audio.
The Cloud Cam also features advanced motion detection that sends a mobile notification and stores the clip securely for review when an activity is detected.
Separately, both devices also feature different uses. The Cloud Cam works with the Amazon Key to enable secure home access for Amazon deliveries, guests and service appointments without anyone having to be home (if you’re okay with that).
While the Echo Show lets you enjoy all of Alexa’s capabilities, as well as make hands-free video calls and voice calls to friends and family who also have an Echo device or Alexa app.
