So, Amazon and Google’s war has reached a whole new level and consumers are furious about it.

The drama started three months ago when Youtube became suddenly unavailable on the Echo Show.  According to a statement released by Amazon,  Google has chosen to no longer make Youtube available on the smart device, without any explanation nor notification to customers.

So how did Amazon respond?  By discreetly pulling out the Nest E Thermostat, Nest Camera IQ and Nest Secure Alarm System from their website.  In case you don’t know, company Nest Labs was already purchased by Google in 2014.

And today, Google has made it official:

“We’ve been trying to reach agreement with Amazon to give consumers access to each other’s products and services. But Amazon doesn’t carry Google products like Chromecast and Google Home, doesn’t make Prime Video available for Google Cast users, and last month stopped selling some of Nest’s latest products.  Given this lack of reciprocity, we are no longer supporting YouTube on Echo Show and FireTV. We hope we can reach an agreement to resolve these issues soon,” a statement from Google said.

Well, we hope so too.

It’s funny how these two BIG tech companies deal with the issue in such an immature way… and for the world to see.  Grow-up, guys.
